About The Show : Dance Premier League is a unique format where all the zones in India - North, East, West, South, Central along with NRIs will compete on one national platform for Regional Pride.
More than thousands of young aspirants auditioned across 15 cities in India where celebrity judges – Shiamak Davar & Arshad Warsi along with team choreographers handpicked the final 8 contestants to be part of each team .i.e 6 teams – 48 contestants.
1. Once the team is formed, DPL will be played in the League format where each zonal team will play against the team from every other zone. Thus, in all there will be 15 League matches.
2. Each match will have 3 rounds - solo, duo and group. The tally of all 3 rounds will decide the winning zone/team in that episode.
3. The umpires will score performances in the range of Duck to 6 and the winning team will get 2 points in every episode.
4. At the end of the league matches the Top 4 teams in the points-table will qualify for the Semi-Finals. Leading the Top 2 teams who will battle it out for the magnanimous title of Rin Dance Premier League Champion in the finals.
5. Awards/ Prizes can be given during the series:
* Man of the Match: At the end of each episode to the best performer
* Most Stylish player: At the end of each episode
* Maximum 6’s: At the end of the series to the players who earned maximum 6’s
* Maximum 4’s: At the end of the series to the players who earned maximum 4’s

I am from U.A.E. I witnessed the DPL show shown on 23rd of Oct. It was a battle between Southern Sizzlers and Uttar Ke Puttar. I would like to say that throughout the show the judges were obviously “JAUNDICED EYE”.
How could Uttar Ke Puttar get better score when Southern Sizzlers were far more better than Uttar Ke Putter, especially in the last round, Vijay was 100 times better than the other. But the other choreographers there felt the Uttar Ka guy was good. I was bowled to see it. It was sheer Nonsense.
I think it is basically because the so called “Choreographers” there are so much in favor of Uttar Ke guys that they couldn’t see the OBVIOUS. If it continues I think the show will be nothing more than crap.
Well make the show fair guys!!! The show was DISAPPOINNTING. I think the only solace was that Shaimak was at least TRYING to be fair and Rani was being a little good by giving out the Man of the Match to Southern Sizzlers.

My message is for Rani Mukherjee and the other judges who judged Uttar ke puttar indiviual round. The dancer unside down concept. Let me tell you'll, that was not unique and not new. It is rare but I have seen it before on other Indian tv reality show. If you guys haven't, then sorry to say you are not updated. Hence, do not say "I have never seen this before". So far, I have enjoyed every single performance and I like the way Shiamak has been SO SO FAIR and SQUARE. Good going Shiamak. Keep it up. Again for you Rani Mukherjee, I agree with Shiamak that its too early to give 6 from now. If you can't get that point, it is sad because like in the second episode, Howard had a chance to smile because of your 6 unknowingly, a mockery to what Shiamak had said minutes ago. You need to behave more sensibly not as if you were one in the crowd. I liked your sign language though it was a little overdoing.
